Condiment packets: burst at elevation?

Post by sierranomad »

I'm wanting to send some condiment packets of mayo & relish to resupply. But am wondering whether these will burst at elevation (maybe they don't have any air in them?)?

Thank you!

Jon

I would doubt it. there's little if any air to expand, and they never feel overstuffed to begin with.

I take packets like that with me quite often and haven't ever had a problem from elevation change. I have had catchup packets puncture before, though.

I agree with feedback given by others...also as an fyi there is a great site to get single packets of stuff...salsa, jelly, etc. it's called Minimuz.biz I always stock up with stuff from there at the beginning of the season
