Gillnetting in Trinity

Ok, I was reading Dr. Roland Knapp's frogblog today, and came across this post: http://anuranblog.blogspot.com/2009/04/ ... inity.html.

Here's the part i don't understand: Who in CDFG or CA govt decided that fishless lakes are better than lakes with fish? And where is the preannouncement on any DFG page that some lakes were going to be experimented on/erradicated? If they were and i missed it, the pointer would be welcome.

I'm trying to plan a trip there this fall, and this is very disturbing, almost identical to what happened in Yose in '06.

I'm not against picking spots for testing purposes, but i want them identified, floated in front of those that pay taxes, and fishing licenses.

ok.. off my soap box now.

Responses welcome,

Russ
