So I am finally going to get this new tent by UPS sometime today. It's a Gossamer Gear "The One" 17oz solo shelter. They have been backordered for only about four months!
The first order of buisiness as with any tent, is seam sealing. So I am all prepared to tear the box open and set it up as soon as it arrives to do just that.
One guess what the weather decided to do this morning! Thats right.. it's raining! Ha!
Well we need the rain so it's a good thing.
I guess I'll set up the tent in the living room! I wonder how bad Mcnett seamsealer smells?
So this brings the number of known ways to make it rain to at least two:
1. Wash your car/Jeep
2. Plan to Seam seal your tent
PS. I almost forgot a third way to make rain... camp outside without a shelter!
PPS. Hey, this could be a funny thread if you all add your stories of dealing with the rain. What unfortunate "coincidences" regarding rain have happened to you?
[edited cause I am a lame typer and cannot spell to begin with and I hate typos]HA! :retard:

Pretty much any time I decide to go fishing...
Also when I had my YJ, removing the top was a cue for the clouds to roll in.

Actually it's quite sufficient to bring the tent but not the rain fly.Hetchy wrote: PS. I almost forgot a third way to make rain... camp outside without a shelter!
