Mount Warren from Tioga Road (Hwy 120)

Got in late Friday, then got up early Saturday and felt it. Started the hike late (9,000'), but that sickly feeling went away after awhile. Slow pace and breaks got me up to Mount Warren (12,327'). I spent an hour at the summit, then got chilled and headed down. Great views, especially of Mono Lake, and a beautiful day to be out.
Colors are changing
Heading for the 'V' notch
the only sign of life I saw, besides 2 birds

Great colors

Stayed up late Sat night talking to SnowDude, and on the computer looking for a hike for Sun. Couldn't find beta on Lee Vining Peak, but my book had a few sentences on it. So back to Tioga Pass Road, and another late start. Another beautiful day to be out!
no tracks, no trail, no ducks, felt like I was in a place that no one had been
first sign of Lee Vining Peak
Lee Vining Peak way out to the left. Should have gone up the saddle to the right, but went up the left (lots of bushes)
Looking back at Mt Dana
Mount Warren (red one) and a peak that I wanted to check out. There's a big hole that drops down (you can see the walls dropping to the east) that I wanted to see, but ran out of time
Played with my new iPhone and almost got a post started. Its slow, and I lost the signal when I hit "send"
Fall colors are starting already
