Bummed out.

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Bummed out.

Word comes from Arizona that my Uncle has passed away. He was the one who taught me how to trout fish, up in Idaho, Big Wood River, and many other areas, Sawtooths, ect.

He will be missed. He was a great teacher.

Sorry to hear that, buddy. This past year has been filled with loss for my own family. My thoughts and sympathies are with you and yours.

My condolences too. It seems he led a full life and even in his passing it seems he gave you a priceless gift of fond memories.

Sorry to hear about your uncle passing. I hate to see the wealth of knowledge and experience lost. I had a customer from where I worked at one time pass away some years back. He told me about where to fish down by Bishop in detail and also told a few tales about his experiences hiking and fishing. I feel your loss.

My condolences also. You’re uncle sounds a lot like my grandfather who was a big influence in my love for the outdoors. After this passing the world just didn’t seem the same. Over time that bond just got stronger and when I’m out doing the things we shared, the gift and conversations continue.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss, he sounds like a wonderful man. He had strong faith, was influential, and lived in some really cool areas, like Jarbridge. May God bless you and your family.
