"Tunnel View", Yosemite NP

Post by Hikin Mike »

Took my kids up to Yosemite Saturday afternoon to play in the snow. On the way home, I stopped for a few photos at Tunnel View...

One of my favorite views in the whole wide world of sports fans! Very nice... I'm surprised there's still mist covering the valley floor late afternoon on a nice day! It really adds to the photo. God spent a little extra time making this place, indeed so.

That is a really gorgeous picture HM, So neat how you can see both Half Dome and Clouds rest. The foggy mist almost looks like a lake down in there.
Really beautiful picture :)

I gave my wife to be this pic from the tunnel view years ago, as a present. I had it enlarged to a 16 x 20. Only 10 years later, did she find out I took the photo myself. She thought is was a poster or something! Great picture! Thanks Mike! I need to get my wife to Yosemite, she's never been. I told her she can watch a grown man cry in joy at the sight of Bridalveil Falls at the Bridalveil parking lot. I'm a big mushpot when it comes to beauty of this magnitude. :crybaby:

Thanks for the compliment.
Yes this photo was taken on March 12. I spent the weekend in the valley, it snowed almost the entire time. It was spectacular, my only complaint was that Half Dome was never visible.

Regards,
Robert
