Very cool! I actually like the second one better. :)

By the way, just got back from Shell Creek Road off of Hwy 58,the place famous for its flowers and they are really starting to display nicely!

Here are a couple of poppy shots from near San Luis Obispo:

Nice closeup Michael. Takes me a number of attempts to get something so nice and sharp when really close down inside.

From a flat formerly farmed field near your Tulare town of Ducor along SR-65 on March 12. The extremely dense 6 to 10 inch fresh deep orange poppies were so bright in the late morning sun that I had to squint. My idea for the shot was to maximize the orange across the whole frame so got down to maybe a 30 inch height. The green grass blades added some nice graphic contrast between the orange. Also have a number of screaming orange poppy landscapes mixed up with all manner of other wildflower colors from a recent road trip to southwest Riverside County. ...David

Looks like we have a poppy off. :cool: Nice to see so much orange. I didn't find anything that dense, but will have to find one to post tonight as well.
