Joshua Tree

Post by quentinc »

Last weekend I drove out to Joshua Tree to tour the wildlowers in the southern part of the park, and for a quick backpack along the Boy Scout Trail in the north. From the Boy Scout trail, we hiked down to Willow Hole, and then scrambled down through the Wonderland of Rocks to Rattlesnake Canyon and back out to the Indian Cove area. I wish I had more pictures of the scrambling, but the guys I was with treated it like boot camp -- I could barely keep up!

Beautiful flowers! Looks like more varieties than I saw. It'll be at least 3 weeks before I can get back.
Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free . . . . Jim Morrison
