Dayclimbed Avawatz Peak (6,154') with Tom Gossett. Clear views all around, including Baldy, San Gorgonio, San Jacinto, and Charleston. Beautiful day for a hike!

Clark Mountain, petroglyphs, Pachalka Springs

Did a tour of Rosalie before heading out to Pachalka Springs. We wanted to see the plane wreck, but from this side it was too far (with the late start). We drove to the Picnic Area and headed up the 1900' climb (in 1.1 mi). The 25' dry fall was fun class 3, and while trying to beat the sunset, we just barely made it down the falls by dark. Next time we'll start earlier and look for the plane wreck.
