Plan was to have breakfast with Rachel and friends, then dayclimb Jenkins. With a late start, cold temps and no visibility we turned back at Jenkins saddle. We didn't want to go back without a peak, so we did Aquila Peak, of the Five Fingers. New peak for Tomcat, 2nd time for me.

nice to be able to hike with snow and frost and not freeze to death
looking forward to some real snow hikes with snow shoes and ice axe

wondering - are the registers getting bigger or is Snow Nymph shrinking:

looks like fun! the snow makes it a whole new world. I was just up at Baldy, soooo beautiful this time of year, a foot plus on the mt from Manker all the way up ( have not posted pics ,having trouble with webshots). Snowy needs to eat more, poor girl is really shrinking. Stay warm

Ridgeline - yeah I am chomping at the bits to get in some snow this year - with some days off around Christmas hoping there will be enough to drag my snow equipment up north.

way behind on photos while doing Christmas preps - here is looking down on home from Aquila Peak:
