A few shots from Yosemite Valley

Post by copeg »

Well, I thought I'd post a few photos from Yosemite Valley this past weekend.

El Capitan shrouded in clouds after a morning storm (velvia 50)
Image

Similar to the above, but a narrower field and shot with my digital camera (more detail was brought out of the shadows - thanks to HikinMike and others for that suggestion)
Image

A BIG and FAT black bear near Bridalveil Falls. Something seems almost zoo-like when you find one of these with a massive tracking collar and tags in both ears (in this shot, the tags weren't too visible, and I removed what was left of them)

I also like your B/W from NPN! Love the bear shot too. Now if I can get up to Yosemite...

Michael - I figured you were busy. I'll be in Stanford (I hope) next Tues/Wed and we are all going to Arizona Dec 6-11.
