Sasquatch sightings

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

I seem to recall a thread like this about a year ago. At the risk of repeating my post there...I haven't sighted one since about April, but I suspect if I look in my aged beer stash I'll find more than a few. Each year, they show up in select locations usually around the beginning of February, and reliable reports indicate they are bred in Chico, CA. The alcohol content is reported at 9.6% v/v, but certain versions, such as their barrel-aged version, can run much higher (12%). They can be a bit rough when young but they age nicely (that aged stash has vintages back to 1997). The 2007 vintage was pretty nice out of the gate (ie pretty drinkable young). For those of you who like strong hyper-hoppy beers, the Bigfoot season should not be missed (I really don't work for Sierra Nevada, by the way). With the double IPA craze in full bloom in coastal California, it's easy to forget that Bigfoot is more intense than any of them.

Cheers,

GB

I think maybe that thread got lost in a crash somewhere...

To preempt Buck, here's a link to his Bigfoot story

I really want to believe Bigfoot exists, I read Bucks story its quite creepy.
There is physical evidence with hair samples which don't match any existing Known animal, how do you explain that?

I was fishing at Martis creek once back around 1970, and we heard these screams that were extremely bizarre. It lasted for like 2-3 minuted but it seemed like an eternity, we never really talked about it. I just remember we froze in our tracks and just stood there and didn't move, it was nothing like I'd ever heard at the time or since then.

Put me in the looney category with buck, that moment is still quide vivid in my narrow memory.
