Hey Maverick,
OK, my only guess is part of the Inconsolables, but it's really just a guess. More likely, judging from the remote places you visit, it's more likely that not a lot of people have laid eyes on this escarpment. I've mentally excluded a lot of places that I'm familiar with, but that's not helping to settle on any better candidates than that feeble first stab..........maybe if you included a broader angle shot, it might help someone to get a bead on it? Anyway, the red/orange atop the more silvery granite should be a clue, but I'd defer to a professional geologist...

CG, the peak on the left side is a dead give away for those few
who have visited this secluded basin.
I thought you'd recognize it TB.

I would have to guess it's a ridge coming off of Blacktop peak, up by lost lakes, at the base of Donahue Peak??
Beautiful country up there

Clue #2, a wider view of the range.

Of course you already know I've been to the other side of that canyon more than once. [ rk ] Your view here behing these enormous talus piles is quite interesting. For many years I've been wanting to camp on the foxtail pine bench just below. Not likely to ever get there given the distance and my loads. Maybe I'll scan an old 35mm to show what it looks like from further away. ...David

Oui Shawn. The Kaweah Ridge from the east, inside Kaweah Basin.

good game - I like it - of course my ignorance would come shining through
mountain hiking is addictive:
I can quit anytime I want - I just choose not to want
