Family, Fishing, cerveza, Sunsets in San Carlos Mexico

Post by oldranger »

Just completed our annual trip to San Carlos. All my family and hopefully future family except one grandson joined us for thanksgiving week. While much of their visit was impacted by a storm we still had a lot of good times on the beach and on our one charter fishing trip. Before the storms hit I did well, as usual fishing for small fish from shore and from our inflatable kayak for fish up to 2 lb trigger fish. Our charter trip had the unexpected excitement of hooking and landing and releasing an estimated 130 striped marling after an hour battle. My two son in laws took turns reeling in. We also landed and kept 7 7 to 10 lb yellowtail and one sierra. Also released a couple of small skipjack.
