Choosing a resting place in the Sierra

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

My family scattered my dad's ashes on a spur leading up to North Peak in the Saddlebag area, probably my dad's very favorite place. For me? I suppose if my ashes weren't in a box underneath a tap at my favorite pub, Dumbbell Lakes would do in a pinch (do I want scenery or do I want some fine ale? tough question).
Since my fishing (etc.) website is still down, you can be distracted by geology stuff at: http://www.fresnostate.edu/csm/ees/facu ... ayshi.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

My son has instructions to spread my ashes in an alpine meadow somewhere beautiful away from the crowds - he can pick the spot.
