Finally had some cloud clearing satellite views over the Sierra yesterday. Looks like I won't have any issues on my South Fork of the San Joaquin backpack later this month as is now well melted out and expect Kaiser Pass to be open any day now. The bottom image is the Hetch Hetchy zone. Do you know what topo features those red abbreviations indicate?
