Lunar Eclipse

Post by Hikin Mike »

Not technically High Sierra Photo...but I figured I'd post this. So I don't have a life and a stay up late every night, soooo I decided to take a "few" photos...115 photos to be exact. I used my Canon 300D, 300mm f/4L and 1.4x TC. Exposure from IS0 100 to 1600, f/5.6 to f/11 and 1/100 sec to 4 sec. Obviously there's "some" noise at ISO 800 and 1600, especially with my 300D, but that's what I have.

I selected 11 phases and made a collage....

Very cool. How many exposures did you have to blend to get each image or is it just one exposure per image before the collage?

As I said at OE Mike, this is just awesome. To have the patience, skill, and awareness - esp at 4am - to get this sequence....sweet.

Mark, It was one exposure per photo and then did the collage in Photoshop.

Snowy, Thanks!

Greg, I usually go to bed at 2-3 AM, so I just stayed a bit later last night! I wasn't going to do the whole sequence, but I don't have any plans for the next day!
