You can get clothing with a wide variety of "sunscreen" levels, based on the color, type and weave of the material. Most clothing, unless specifically "sunblock", will let in some rays. I find that, wearing my hiking clothing, only small specific areas of my skin need sunscreen- nose, lips, ears, back of neck.

Aside from cancer, sun exposure will make you very wrinkly as you get older. Some women do care about that; typically not concern of men. Hey, but we women have actual hair on our heads to protect from sun.

True. As my mom was diagnosed with stage 3/4 ovarian cancer and on chemo, she now has less hair than I do. Has a few nice beanies and wraps. I asked her if she wanted a wig. Still waiting on the response.

Having had cataracts removed at 33 years of age with no other reason other than going to elevation often to have them, I am a proponent of good sunglasses. I also have not had a lesion in two decades thanks to the good sunscreen.

I have a Chrome Dome and use it often, but I burn if I don't have good sunscreen just the same.

Kudos to you melanin-producers who can go without - those of us who are translucent know better than to try.
