Yosemite TR and Some Photos

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Yosemite TR and Some Photos

Post by Hikin Mike »

I wasn't going to post these but I guess I was bored! The family went to Yosemite on 07-02-07 for the afternoon to have a picnic at Mirror Lake so the kids could play and swim. When we were done, we "hiked" (at least me) to the Yosemite Falls bridge.

Kids at Mirror Lake - NOTE: The same rock as "Mount Watkins" photo.

Steller's Jay - Shot this above me as the kids were swimming.

Two Bucks - Shot that from the van near dusk. (300mm and 1.4x TC)

Me - Notice the sign. For those who have been there, I didn't listen and we "climbed" the road in my wheelchair. I don't think I'll do it again! There's a wheelchair trail on the other side of the bridge...I'll use that the next time!

Your girls are getting big! Nice family picture! Cool bucks!

Nice shots Mike. I really like the "girls at Mirror Lake", it's a very nice portrait. If you cropped a bit off the bottom, I think it would strengthen the comp even more. Just my $.02. Excellent shot either way!
