Michael (Windwalker) helped me get "Castle Rock" on my first day I had my camera back in 2005. I borrowed his lens (100-300mm) to take that photo. I ended up buying it, now it's for sale...

Really beautiful! It's nice to see black and white landscaps I think..you don't see it a lot so this was really nice!
I love the one of Conness...the lights and darks and the difinition is beautiful!

Great pictures Mike!

Mount Conness was my favorite also. I've always liked black and white for those same reasons, Madeintahoe. Color photographs are beautiful, for sure, but sometimes the color itself becomes the main focus. Black & whites show depth, contrasts, and textures of the subject. It would be hard to say which is a favorite between color and black & white.

Fortunately, with all you great photographers on the Board, we don't have to make a choice! :)
