(day2)
Met the Snowys and Naviguesser (he had started out earlier) at the trailhead Saturday morning (June 30). Snowdude day hiked and turned around to go have some 4WD fun, and we caught up to Navi at the same time. Navi made us an awesome shrimp scampi dinner when we finally got settled in at the lake.
The next day Navi hiked out, Cori and I headed up to Red Slate. Great views, fun day.

TrailTrekker, looks like you two had a awesome trip !

McGee; very pretty photos, cant wait to go up there some time.

Hey maybe if you or Snowy would have given that frog a little kiss, he might have turned into a Prince :)

Can't wait to see the rest the trip photos.

TT, don't think you could have done much better than that first campsite; I'm envious!

That looks like a fascinating area; lots of different colors. From the look of it it was probably very volcanically active in the distant past.

Lewis- the frog- don't think I didn't think about it...if it wasn't for that wart hanging on his lip...just think-my prince!! good grief!
Trekker- yeah, great colors up there. Guess it is some of the oldest rock in the Sierra according to Cori. Amazing movement and stuff.
It was a great time.

It was a great trip! Great views and great company! Navi's shrimp scampi was awesome! I thought that wart was a pebble and tried to brush it off. OOPS!
