showers in the sierra

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

If you really want to impress the girlfriend, end a trip at Double Eagle resort in June Lake. A couple of years ago myself and friends wanted a cheap shower but the campground was under repair, so they recommended for us to go to Double Eagle. It wasn't cheap, about $14 per person, but it is an amazing spa that we had complete access to enormous jacquzzi, stone showers, pampered salon area complete with many spa products, etc. Just make sure to bring clean clothes for the trip home, otherwise it is a bummer to put back on stinky clothing after all that suds.

Other great baths - Red's Meadow Resort Hot Spring fed showers, Onion Valley pack station used to have showers, but it was barely a trickle...I think it was fed by a stock tank with a black cover on it. It worked!
