I havent spendt much time in the EW. Does anyone have some
info on the lakes near Yosemite(off-trail or on) worth checking out?
Like Pruitt , Shallow , or Fisher Lakes? Thanks.

I guess it depends on what your looking for, EW isn't really located in yosemite, but I think the areas above hetch hetchy and on the other side of tower peak are some of the most desolate and beautiful places in the Sierra. I have hiked from Hetch hetchy all the way to the end of Tilden Lake, hitting bearup, vernon, and some beautiful campsites in upper vernon valley.
EW we usually start at Leavitt lake. go to Middle emmigrant, snow, bigelow, bear lake, twin lakes and them emmigrant and maxwelll lakes again its beautiful back packing, not may people around and great fishing... Good luck!!
