whats in your headphones?

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Now you're getting in to the good stuff!
I have a Sony Walkman MP3 player loaded with the B-52s, DEVO, the Cars, the Police, Oingo Boingo, Madness, the Specials, the Clash, the Sex Pistols, on and on....

We will need to wait until the concert CD/DVD is released. Note that 'Down by the River' lasted 22 minutes alone.

You're never too old, to rock and roll, it you're too young to die

Shawn, I agree about Barry. You can't deny the body of work he produced. Most don't know the sheer number of commercial jingles he wrote that carpeted our t.v. sets.

I saw Oingo Boingo, sort of, at (I think) the Roxy theatre in Hollywood in the early 80's. They were playing upstairs to a small crowd of less than 100 all sitting in folding metal chairs. I really tried to like them, but I fell asleep instead. I just didn't get punk or new wave, so I went to light jazz for several years.

If you don't know where you're going, then any path will get you there.

Love the movie, so:
Oscar: I tell you one thing that really drives me nuts, is people who think that Jethro Tull is just a person in a band.
Psychologist: Who is Jethro Tull?

Mav, dude, a side of you I haven't seen. Some excellent guitar!
Here is another guitar solo (starts at 2:32) I really enjoy on a nice an windy FS road:

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
