The view from our tent just east of Parker Pass in late June. We had to move our location from the last time we camped at that lake due to a large snow field covering up the location we used last time. We didn't see any other hikers between Mono Pass and Island Pass on the JMT going across Koip Peak Pass, and then from Gem Lake to Waugh Lake, up to Weber Lakes and cross country from there to Island Pass.

Two from Paiute Pass. All these years in the Sierra, and this summer was the first time I went across that pass.
