Sasquatch sightings

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Sasquatch sightings

Post by Matilda »

No, it's not a belated April Fool's joke. I'm a writer working on a story about Bigfoot sightings in the Sierra--specifically, anywhere around Mammoth. He's been spotted in the area. There's a report of a track as recently as last weekend.
Anybody have something to report? Feel free to drop me a pm!

If you find him, please ask him if he'll do a photo shoot wearing a Topix shirt. :p

A number of the reported sightings in the Sierra and Lassen Peak region are hoaxes and fakes, including a few that were 'investigated' by bigfoot researchers and declared credible.

Do I make this statement from personal knowledge?

I ain't sayin'.... :D

My mother-in-law was up in Mammoth last weekend...I could see how some might make this mistake and easily confuse the two.
She does need a shave...fierce hairlip - walks hunched over...mumbles a lot.

Sounds like most of our b/c rangers. If you find Bigfoot, we'd be happy to offer him/her a job.

Shame on you, Markskor! Anyway, if I'd been in Mammoth that coulda been me, ya know!

George, I *really* like the idea of Bigfoot as ranger: now there is somebody it would be really hard to talk back to!

Well, I was going to try to book him for the magazine cover, so I'll work that in!

Thanks for the info, jdub.

George--all those years in the backcountry and no 'squatches??
