User Avatar Change

Post by ERIC »

I've created a default user avatar for all users that you should now see in your member profile and above your username in any post you make to the forums. Not sure why, but in doing so it seems to have reset custom avatars previously uploaded. Apologies to those of you affected by that issue. But hey, it's an avatar. They're fun to change every now and then, right?

Here's what the default looks like:

You may upload your own custom avatar by going to "User Control Panel" --> "Profile" tab --> "Edit avatar". Maximum size allowed = width: 80 pixels, height: 80 pixels, file size: 73.24 KiB.

If you have any issues, please PM me. I can create an avatar for you from just about any image file.

An easy way to create your own avatar without special software is to use MS Paint (or whatever the Mac equivalent is) to crop the photo (if necessary), then use this online tool to shrink it down: http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/
A quick Google search turns up lots of free tools like this. Lots of options for editing and creating out there.

Remember, max dimensions are 80px by 80px.
