2-3 night suggestions west side

Post by The hermit »

anyone know a relatively low snow trip? I'm thinking mono meadows th, or pear lake out of lodgepole. Is the mineral king road open? I'm willing to just car camp and sites see around sequoia.a little 5 mile hike would be nice. Not a risk taker so no problem to abort the trip if necessary

What is your time frame? By Memorial Day all Forest Service roads should be open, opening up some more possibilities around SEKI. Mineral King doesn't usually open until later, especially since this was an average snow year compared to past few.
