NO SMOKE sept 17-19,Kearsarge,BC Forest

Post by DAVELA »

Took a trip with dad to owens valley from sep 16-19...No smoke in lone pine on the eve of the 16th...no smoke at onion valley nor at kearsarge pass on sep18 although we could see some slight haze in the distance....sept 18 took a hike on the AMAZING Methusela Trail at Bristlecone Forest(my first time after 15years of visiting the area!!)-couldnt see any smoke in the owens valley or over the eastern sierra....

Cant wait for snow!

BTW, we stayed 1 night at the LONE PINE BUDGET INN MOTEL-it is an absolutely disgusting, filthy motel.Stained mattresses, dirty bathroom etc...I took many pics of the room, beds etc...I complained to manager who shrugged shoulders. The cost to stay at this disaster was 120$.There is no excuse for this kind of filth.

Avoid this filthy, dump at all costs.
