Buckeye Hot Springs

Does anyone have recent information about a hot spring near Buckeye campground near Bridgeport, Ca.?

Not recent, but I went there about 8 years ago and the springs were luke-warm. Probably because it was early season and cold runoff entered the springs.

I was there in the summer of 2004 and I found that there were in fact truly hot/warm spots. One could find the desired temperature comfort zone depending on which pool and where in a pool one sat. I very much enjoyed the springs and rank them as one of my favorite east side hot springs.

Buckeye is a nice spring, you can control the temp by allowing water from the creek into the pool if it gets too hot. Most of the Hot Springs in the Eastern Sierra are all well known and crowds can be a problem, but that depends on the time of year you go. Summer: really crowded, late fall or early spring: as long as it isn't snowed in too much, you can often have it to yourself.
