THANKS

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

THANKS

Post by The hermit »

I just wanted to thank the moderators as well as the regulars and anyone else who contributes to this forum. You have opened up a whole new world for me. My Dad feels connected to Yosemite valley so I spent alot of time there. As special as it is I knew there was something more up there. For years I canoed at the highest lakes possible. Even taking my dad to the highest lake accessible by car in the state. Saddlebag. Hiking above was a revelation .despite the mosquitoes! I canoed wishon and courtright before my trip to florence, this time I was ready. I launched@3or4 am and stashed my canoe.I was in able to hike up to evolution valley..a place i had dreamed about for at least a decade. After that I found this site. Then i found out about the north -south lake loop. In late ict.oct 2010 I met a lone Hiker @wanda lake.i hadn't seen anyone in days. He was on the shr. A world I have yet ro explore.Knowledge is power
