Icing is your friend. It draws blood to the injured area and promotes faster healing.

That's some serious swelling. Find a cold lake and stick your lower left leg in it. It beats sitting around the house.

funny thing. right after I got back to camp at Island Lk, I stuck the feet/legs into Island and it was friggn warmer than the air. Not like i'm finding a cold lake near here right now. I did Ice it a few times.

I've entered the "good pain" phase. That's were you can touch the foot and it actually feels good except for the truly injured area. (same spot as last time; right in front of the outside ankle bone).

Swelling will be down in 3 days. Then I have to figure out what that loose click is under the left outside ankle. That's the "back to the doc" analysis when it loosens up and I ask for the MRI. I really want to know how many ligaments I have left there.

The body amazes me.
