Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.
funny thing. right after I got back to camp at Island Lk, I stuck the feet/legs into Island and it was friggn warmer than the air. Not like i'm finding a cold lake near here right now. I did Ice it a few times.
I've entered the "good pain" phase. That's were you can touch the foot and it actually feels good except for the truly injured area. (same spot as last time; right in front of the outside ankle bone).
Swelling will be down in 3 days. Then I have to figure out what that loose click is under the left outside ankle. That's the "back to the doc" analysis when it loosens up and I ask for the MRI. I really want to know how many ligaments I have left there.
