Expanding Yosemite by 1600 Acres

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

Exactly where is this? All I could get from the publicity was "western boundary." Foresta area?

I wonder how this will affect the property owners of Yosemite West. There is (was) a moritorium on building because of the sewer system capacity. Looks like the area downstream will now be parkland which will probably not bode will for the property owners.
