Personal messages

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Personal messages

Post by Wandering Daisy »

Just want to let you all know that I do not read my personal messages any more. So if anyone wants to say something just post it on the "general discussion" or on any other post that I do. I will be glad to answer any questions on the open posts.

Hi WD,

In case you might have missed this, there's a setting in your user control panel that allows you to toggle your PM Inbox on and off. Look for this:

"Allow users to send you private messages:
Note that administrators and moderators will always be able to send you messages."

Not knowing any details I'm going to assume a lot here, but if the OP had anything to do with a case of harassment via PM, then the potential offender should know that such action may be in violation of forum rules. And if that's the case and I'm provided evidence of rules violation, appropriate action will be taken.

We're all adults here. I've long felt we act our ages on here better than any other site I've been a part of. I implore you all, let's try to keep it that way.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.
