Hi!

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

Hi!

Post by Rockchucker »

Hi everyone, my name is Tyson and I live in Bishop in the eastern Sierras. I love the outdoors and spend a vast majority of my time hiking, camping, fishing. My passion for the outdoors has luckily been passed on to my son who is 9 and quite a strong hiker already. I found this site following a link about Blazccom posted on another forum and ended up spending hours reading so much great info on this site I had to join! I look foward to being a productive member on this site and absorbing as much knoledge I can. I'll post some pictures of some of my adventures soon.

I don't give out specific route information, my belief is that it takes away from the whole adventure spirit of a trip, if you need every inch planned out, you'll have to get that from someone else.

I feel very lucky! Every morning I wake up to the Humphreys', Mt. Basin, and Mt. Tom, beckoning me to explore each and every canyon, scree, creek, escarpment!Image

Really shows off the lack of snow so far this year.

Welcome aboard Rockchucker!

This is one of two forums that I participate in, and one of the few that lacks all the BS and negativity you see nearly everywhere else. Lots of good people here. Hope you stick around and post some trip reports!
