I too welcome our own Mav back;
(In truth, he probably never really left – whatever.)

Now someone should address the elephant in the room – get it out there so Mav can (hopefully) resume his position as a much-needed Mod here.

It's not like this is a democracy. Eric decides who "oversees the flock", so to speak. I'm not even sure what privileges are granted on top of just being a normal user, other than what i've read or played with on generic phpbb installations, or kicking spammers off.

It really doesn't matter who is or isn't a moderator as long as they participate in the threads. The respect is still there for any individuals knowledge and the Sierra is a big place with lots of expertise in various regions.
