(saint) Diane has died.

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

(saint) Diane has died.

Post by Cross Country »

I called her (saint) for very good reason. She battled pancreatic cancer for nearly 5 years. She was my best friend, my lover, my companion. She was the best person I ever knew. I am crushed.

This is a picture of her taken about 6 years ago in her mid fifties.

Very sad news. Having a loved one with cancer, one takes on their suffering, in part. You have my sympathy and condolences. Take care of yourself.

I too am so very sorry for your loss. From your post it has been very clear how much you loved her. How fortunate can any of us be to have had that kind of a special person in our lives.

At a loss for words for your loss. But thanks for sharing and I hope you find peace. We should all hold our loved ones closer this season. I know I will.
