Personally, I think I have everything I need. Maybe a new heavier fleece layer, and a second pair of long pants. Good sunscreen and wool socks would make a great stocking stuffer.
What about others? Mark, I know you need a replacement Mountain House beef stew package for 4, as that one i've see you lug around for a few years is getting ragged.

Wool socks for me.
I'm getting Mark a case of White Zin for Christmas.

0 degree (or a -10) Marmot bag for SAR. I will never be a winter camper, but anticipate that 2 am call to load up and go will have me trudging on out there this winter.
A pad solution to go with it. Shelter, possibly a 'mid, but I'll be making do with some tarp or other and a shovel to dig out a semi-cave or trench. And some microspikes should go on the list, nothing elaborate like the ice climb-y crampons, just enough to pair with the poles to go over a pass or two.
I should probably also get some winter boots that fit better - was eyeballing the Garmonts at REI the other day - but that can wait, the Columbia boots will work.

Another 20 years of hiking in the Sierra! Maybe I shouldn't be greedy and just hope I can live out the trips I have planned for next year. 4 weeks in the Sierra in July and August and Another 10-12 days in Late September with a two week trip to Glacier NP inbetween.

Don't have much of a list this year---we have what we need.
Unless someone can send me some free time? I always appreciate THAT one!

I've asked Santa (i.e. my wife) for a Bearikade.
I don’t need a goal destination. I need a destination that meets my goals.

I think that I've finally gotten to the point that I'm pretty satisfied with my gear also. Although, I have been keeping my eye out for a Therm-A-Rest NeoAir All Season pad on sale. I've also considered whether or not it is worth the money for a moreno wool base layer so when I saw this sale I went ahead and ordered myself a top.
