Hi everyone,

I thought I would post on the remote chance that anyone might be headed into the Dinkey Lakes Wilderness. Friends of ours lost a fully loaded pack llama northwest one mile from First Dinkey Lake on Sunday, September 12 . They are back there now looking. My husband hiked 20 miles on Tuesday looking. Llama folks say, "Spit Happens!" That certainly is the case here. The llama has been lost since Sunday afternoon.

The llama's name is Monte. He was loaded with blue panniers and wore a blue halter and blue collar. He is surely frightened and may be hung up on trees or rocks.

If anybody sees him or learns of someone else seeing him, please call 559-841-8627 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              559-841-8627      end_of_the_skype_highlighting begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              559-841-8627      end_of_the_skype_highlighting or 503 349-6263 or after Saturday, 559-855-8581.

We all are praying for his safe return home. [-o<
Thank you.

Melinda

PS. Dinkey Lakes is the beginning of Dinkey Creek which is the West Fork of the Kings River running into the North Fork of the Kings River near Balch Camp.
