FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

FRIDAY, 07-AUG-09, MORNING REPORT

THAT LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM THAT BROUGHT FALL LIKE WEATHER TO OUR FORECAST AREA YESTERDAY IS TRACKING EASTWARD. WE ARE LEFT WITH MODERATE NORTHERLY BREEZES AND TEMPERATURES RUNNING JUST A FEW DEGREES ABOVE YESTERDAYS. STARTING ON SATURDAY AND THROUGH THE REST OF NEXT WEEK, WE WILL HAVE A GRADUAL WARM UP AND BY WEDNESDAY OR THURSDAY, THE OWENS VALLEY WILL BACK IN THE 100S AGAIN. AT THIS TIME, THINGS LOOK DRY AND MOSTLY CLEAR UNTIL THE END OF THE WORK WEEK, THEN SOME MONSOON MOISTURE JUST MAY RE-APPEAR.

FOR THE OWENS VALLEY:

TODAY: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES. HIGHS AROUND 84. WINDS N 10 MPH.
TONIGHT: MOSTLY CLEAR. LOWS IN THE LOW 50S. WINDS NW 6 - 10 MPH.
SATURDAY: MOSTLY SUNNY. HIGHS AROUND 88. WINDS NW 7 MPH.
SATURDAY NIGHT: MOSTLY CLEAR. LOWS IN THE LOW 60S. WINDS SE 5 - 10 MPH.

FOR THE MAMMOTH LAKES AREA:

TODAY: MOSTLY SUNNY. HIGHS IN THE UPPER 50S. WINDS W 5 - 10 MPH.
TONIGHT: SOME CLOUDS. LOWS IN THE UPPER 30S. WINDS W 5 - 10 MPH.
SATURDAY: MOSTLY SUNNY. HIGHS IN THE UPPER 60S. WINDS NE 5 MPH.
SATURDAY NIGHT: MOSTLY CLEAR. LOWS IN THE LOWER 40S. WINDS N 5 MPH.

FOR MONO COUNTY:
