FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

MONDAY, 20-JUL-09, MORNING REPORT

THERE WILL BE LITTLE CHANGE IN THE HOT WEATHER PATTERN DURING THE WEEK, AS THE STRONG UPPER RIDGE OVER THE SOUTHWEST REMAINS IN PLACE. SOME FLUCTUATIONS WITH THAT RIDGE WILL DROP TEMPERATURES A FEW DEGREES ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY, BUT THINGS WILL STILL BE ON THE HOT SIDE. AS FAR AS MONSOON MOISTURE GOES, THERE WILL BE A CHANCE OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN ALL WEEK WITH A SLIGHT INCREASE STARTING ON THURSDAY AS DEEPER MOISTURE PUSHES IN. WE WILL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE...

FOR THE OWENS VALLEY:

TODAY: BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY AND HOT. HIGHS AROUND 103. 20% CHANCE OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. WINDS SW 5 - 10 MPH.
TONIGHT: PARTLY CLOUDY. 20% CHANCE OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE MTNS. LOWS IN THE MID 60S. WINDS SW 5 - 9 MPH.
