FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

A BIG RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN OVER OUR FORECAST AREA AND I EXPECT HOT TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER ELEVATIONS TO REMAIN WITH US INTO THE MID PART OF NEXT WEEK, AT THE LEAST. THE ONLY CAVAET HERE IS THAT THERE WILL BE THE THREAT OF SOME THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY FRIDAY AFTERNOON INTO SATURDAY, AS A SMALL DISTRUBANCE OFF OF THE BAJA COAST IS SET TO MOVE INTO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.

FOR THE OWENS VALLEY:

TODAY: MOSTLY SUNNY AND CONTINUED HOT. HIGHS AROUND 103. WINDS SE 5 - 10 MPH.
TONIGHT: MOSTLY CLEAR. LOWS IN THE LOWER 60S. WINDS SE 6 - 9 MPH.
FRIDAY: MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES AND HOT. HIGHS AROUND 103. WINDS S 10 MPH.
FRIDAY NIGHT: PARTLY CLOUDY. LOWS IN THE LOW 60S. WINDS S 6 - 9 MPH.
