FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

WEDNESDAY, 08-JUL-09, MORNING REPORT

A DRY SOUTHWEST FLOW WILL BE OVER OUR FORECAST AREA WITH WINDS IN MONO COUNTY A BIT LIGHTER THAN YESTERDAY. AN INCREASE IN MID AND HIGH LEVEL CLOUDS WILL HAPPEN ON FRIDAY AS THE FLOW SHIFTS TO THE SOUTHEAST. FOR THE WEEKEND, HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS OVER THE FOUR CORNERS AREA BRINGING WITH IT DRY CONDITIONS AND TEMPERATURES JUST ABOUT NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR.

FOR THE OWENS VALLEY:

TODAY: MOSTLY SUNNY AND HOT. HIGHS IN THE IN THE MID 90S. WINDS S 10 - 15 MPH.
TONIGHT: GENERALLY CLEAR. LOWS IN THE LOW 50S. WINDS SW 10 - 15 MPH.
THURSDAY: A MAINLY SUNNY SKY AND A BIT WARMER. HIGHS IN THE UPPER 90S. WINDS SE 5 - 10 MPH.
THURSDAY NIGHT: MOSTLY CLEAR. LOWS IN THE MID 50S. WINDS SW 8 MPH.

FOR THE MAMMOTH LAKES AREA:

TODAY: SUNNY BLUE SKIES. HIGHS IN THE LOW 70S. WINDS SW 10 - 15 MPH G 25.
TONIGHT: GENERALLY CLEAR. LOWS IN THE LOWER 40S. WINDS W 15 - 20 MPH G 35 THEN DECREASING TO 5 - 10.
THURSDAY: LOTS OF SUNSHINE. HIGHS IN THE LOW 70S. WINDS W 5 - 15 MPH G 25.
THURSDAY NIGHT: CLEAR AND BREEZY. LOWS IN THE LOWER 40S. WINDS SW 5 - 15 MPH G 25.
