FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

TUESDAY, 30-JUN-09, MORNING REPORT

HIGH PRESSURE WHICH HAS BEEN OVER THE AREA WILL GRADUALLY MOVE EAST TO THE FOUR CORNERS REGION THROUGH THURSDAY. AS A RESULT MOISTURE WILL GRADUALLY MOVE IN FROM THE SOUTH LEADING TO THUNDERSTORMS CHANCES INCREASING EACH DAY. TEMPERATURES WILL COOL A BIT AS A RESULT OF THE ADDITIONAL CLOUD COVER. DRIER AND MORE STABLE AIR WILL MOVE IN FROM THE SOUTHWEST OVER THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND AND REDUCE THE CHANCES OF THUNDERSTORMS ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.

FOR THE OWENS VALLEY:

TODAY: SUN AND CLOUDS MIXED. A CHANCE OF A STRAY THUNDERSTORM. HIGHS IN THE MID 90S. WINDS SW 5 - 10 MPH..
TONIGHT: SLIGHT CHANCE OF A THUNDERSTORM OR TWO. LOWS IN THE UPPER 50S. WINDS NW 5 - 10 MPH.
WEDNESDAY: CLOUDY WITH A 20% CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. HIGHS IN THE MID 90S. WINDS S 8 -11 MPH.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: CLOUDS AND A 20% CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. LOWS IN THE LOWER 60S. WINDS SE 10 MPH.

TONIGHT: ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. A 20% CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION. LOWS IN THE UPPER 40S. WINDS SW 5 MPH.
WEDNESDAY: CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. 40% CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION. HIGHS IN THE MID 70S. WINDS S 5 MPH.
