FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

WEDNESDAY, 10-JUN-09, MORNING REPORT

A TROUGH PATTERN WILL CONTINUE OVER OUR AREA THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK. THIS WILL GIVE US PLENTY OF MID AND HIGH LEVEL CLOUDS WITH AN ON-GOING THREAT OF TSTMS OVER THE CREST AND THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS, BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND ISOLATED RAIN AT TIMES IN THE VALLEY'S. RIGHT NOW IT LOOKS LIKE THIS PATTERN WILL CONTINUE INTO WEDNESDAY OF NEXT WEEK, WITH PIECES OF ENERGY ROTATING AROUND THE TROUGH, BRINGING US THIS UNSEASONABLE JUNE WEATHER.

FOR THE OWENS VALLEY:

TODAY: SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE PM. HIGHS IN THE UPPER 70S. WINDS S 4 - 7 MPH.
THIS EVENING: A CHANCE OF EARLY EVENING SHOWERS & THUNDERSTORMS. LOWS IN THE UPPER 40S. WINDS N 5 MPH.
THURSDAY: A SLIGHT CHANCE OF A STRAY PM THUNDERSTORM. HIGHS IN THE UPPER 70S. WINDS N 8 MPH.
THURSDAY EVENING: SHOWERS & THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE. LOWS IN THE LOWER 50S. WINDS LIGHT.
