FORECAST 22-MAY-09

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

PROVIDED BY DENNIS MATTINSON
EASTERN SIERRA WEATHER FORECASTER

FRIDAY, 22-MAY-09, MORNING REPORT

A WEAK DISTURBANCE WILL REMAIN OVER THE AREA THROUGH THE WEEKEND, CONTINUING THE TREND OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY OVER THE MOUNTAINS. RIGHT NOW, THE BEST CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORM AND SHOWER ACTIVITY IS IN MONO COUNTY, BUT I CAN'T RULE OUT THE POSSIBILITY A STRAY THUNDERSTORM OR TWO OVER THE MOUNTAINS OF INYO COUNTY. LITTLE CHANGE IN THE FORECAST THROUGH THE END OF NEXT WEEK, AS A FEW WEAK LOWS WILL DEVELOP OVER THE AREA KEEPING THAT CHANCE OF ISOLATED MOUNTAIN THUNDERSTORM ACTION ON-GOING. OVERALL TEMPERATURES WILL SHOW LITTLE CHANGE AND REMAIN AT OR SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL.
