Trail Riddles

Grab your bear can or camp chair, kick your feet up and chew the fat about anything Sierra Nevada related that doesn't quite fit in any of the other forums. Within reason, (and the HST rules and guidelines) this is also an anything goes forum. Tell stories, discuss wilderness issues, music, or whatever else the High Sierra stirs up in your mind.

While I usually hate to polarize these discussions, yes.

The Hunters cabin would have to be on the North Pole. He shot a Polar Bear. If he leaves his cabin and travels in any direction he would always have to head north to get home! I like that one B!

Thirty white horses on a red hill.
First they champ,
Then they stamp,
Then they are standing still.

What are "they".

Hint: They are not horses and it's not a hill.

You got it B!
I guess there is no point in posting the one about eggs!
I read that book (The Hobbit) when I was a kid and never forgot Gollum's cave and the riddles.

A man lays on the ground dead with his backpack unopened. What happened?

He forgot to take his blood-pressure medication (which was in the unopened pack) and died of an aneurysm.

Missed his ride to the Sierra and dropped dead from a broken heart!

Yup. Parachute failed to open.

But I did like BSquared's answer! Kind of like me!
