FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

THURSDAY, 19-FEB-09, 7:00 AM

MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES, NORMAL TEMPERATURES WITH MILD BREEZES TODAY AND FRIDAY AS AN UPPER RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE OVER CALIFORNIA CONTINUES TO REMAIN IN PLACE. NEXT STORM SYSTEM IS DUE IN LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY, WITH SNOW LEVELS HIGHER THAN THE LAST SERIES OF STORMS, ABOUT 5,500 FEET. THE BEST CHANCE FOR PRECIPITATION WILL BE ON MONDAY WITH UNSETTLED WEATHER CONTINUING INTO AT LEAST THE MID PART OF NEXT WEEK.

TODAY: SUNNY SKIES. HIGHS IN THE MID 50S. WINDS NW LIGHT.
TONIGHT: CLEAR. LOWS IN THE MID 20S. WINDS NW 3 - 5 MPH.
FRIDAY: MOSTLY SUNNY. HIGHS IN THE UPPER 50S. WINDS NW 4 - 8 MPH.
FRIDAY NIGHT: PARTLY CLOUDY. LOWS UPPER 20S. WINDS W 5 MPH

FOR MAMMOTH AND JUNE LAKES:

TODAY: SUNNY. HIGHS IN THE LOWER 40S. WINDS SE 5 MPH.

FRIDAY: MOSTLY SUNNY. HIGHS IN THE LOWER 40S. WINDS W 5 MPH.
