FORECAST FOR THE OWENS VALLEY, MAMMOTH AND MONO COUNTY

A SERIES OF VORTICITY CENTERS CONTINUE TO ROTATE AROUND THE UPPER LOW THAT BROUGHT HEAVY SNOW TO THE UPPER ELEVATIONS AND LIGHT SNOW TO PARTS OF THE OWENS VALLEY MONDAY. THUS, UNSETTLED WEATHER WILL CONTINUE TODAY INTO THIS EVENING WITH EVEN A CHANCE OF AN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM OR TWO. THAT LOW WILL START MOVING EAST LATER TONIGHT FOLLOWED BY A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE BUILDING IN ON WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. THIS WILL GIVE US A BREAK IN THE ACTION WITH MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES AND WARMING TEMPERATURES.

FOR THE OWENS VALLEY:

TODAY: PARTLY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH SCATTERED RAIN OR SNOW SHOWERS POSSIBLE. CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION 30%. HIGHS IN THE LOW 40S. WINDS W 5 - 10 MPH.
TONIGHT: BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY WITH DIMINISHING SHOWERS. LOWS IN THE LOWER 20S. WINDS NW 6 MPH.
